Dixon Energy: A/C Direct Mail

Challenge:

Dixon Energy is located in New Jersey, where summers can be really hot and steamy. Well, not can be, they are hot! Dixon wanted a mailing piece to promote air conditioning service plans to send to existing air conditioning customers, and to reach out to existing heating customers, who tended to push away thoughts of their friendly heating supplier when temps warmed up. Dixon ordered this piece in June for a summer mailing – to hit when weather was at it’s hottest and a/c problems tended to magnify. They also wanted it be able to fit into a #10 envelope rather than be a self-mailer.

Solution:

The piece we developed for them emphasized the sticky, hot summer heat they will be experiencing the moment they received it, with a promise of cool relief inside. Outside colors are hot red and yellow, inside cool blues.

Results:

This is a brand new piece, so results are not yet in. Included in the mailing was a separate sign-up card which may be updated with new pricing if necessary over time, without needing to revise the mailing piece itself.
